Dogboarding from DANIELS on Vimeo.

This video is your typical skateboarding video, only with a unique/weird twist. The shots and angles are very similar to a skateboarding or biking video. Many of the scenes that involve the dogs or the heads of the dongs are done with a green screen.

There is no story line to this video, just basically different shots of people and boarders "Dogboarding".

There are many different shots throughout the video. Many of these shots are much like your typical skateboarding video, but it also has a few more technical shots. A typical skateboarding video is more of a point a shoot just to get the trick filmed, but in this video there is some use of focas as well as some different positions of the camera.

There was an enormous amount of editing that was done to this video in order to make the dogboards look realistic. The boards themselves has legs and some fur around the bottom and on the top of it. They then added the dogs heads which were taken with a green screen to make it look real. Having all these things hanging off the board made it difficult to preform the tricks, so they had to attempt it multiple times. The grinds were done by putting the board on the rail first, then standing on it and getting pushed forward. There are multiple transitions, but also many jump cuts. The six seconds between 0:54-1:00 there are silhouette shots that have a person jumping with a living dog jumping underneath to give the impression that the dogs are real. The editor has also edited the colours of the video as well. They have made the colours much more vibrant and bright. There is also many shots with the sun setting, this may be to set a mood or may be just for the appearance of the video. Tremendous efforts went into the editing of this video.

The main sounds are the videos song "Helena Beat" by Foster the People, but it also has some additional sounds. There is some recorded skateboard sounds and some sounds from the people that are in the video (cheering and talking). There are no "suspense" sounds or anything of that sort.

The characters in the video are skateboarders that are preforming real skateboarding tricks only on modified boards. Their is not much of an act being played more just them being themselves and skateboarding as they would usually do.

I chose this video because of the original concept and the sense of innovation, something that in no way has been done. Possibly another reason for choosing this video would be its comedic factor, not to say that it is reason for choosing, but rather something that comes with the video.

This Comment shows that viewers are getting emotions from the Video, which is defiantly something that makes the creator feel encouraged.
